Is Todd White legit???

Justin Peters who is an excellent teacher exposing false preachers says in the video above that Todd White is New Apostolic Reformation NAR.

Todd White's enthusiasm - a little truth and a lot of error

We have been receiving numerous questions on Todd White and giving out a general statement. At the same time I have been further researching his statements and practices. As with any article we take time looking at their interpretations of scripture, the practices and associations.

White tells us he was an atheist for 34 years and a former addict for 22 years who became a believer in Christ over 12 years ago, (2004); God opened Todd’s eyes to the truth and that Holy Spirit wants to flow through every believer everywhere we go, at work, school, grocery stores, malls, gas stations, everywhere.

Todd has Dreadlocks which may have an appeal to a certain segment of the youth, to others it has the opposite affect (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreadlocks

His ministry is called Lifestyle Christianity (which is apparently a reaction to a Sunday Christianity.) He has gained notoriety through Darren Wilson's videos (Finger of God). He has various videos of his testimony, teachings and practices are on youtube.

What I like is that he is prompting people to get involved. What I don’t like are the general promises given to what will take place which is from bad interpretations. But this is not about my view but the Bibles. You must back up your practice and activity with doctrine that is correctly interpreted, not by touting experiences. One’s personality, likeable or unlikeable is always subject to their teachings.

The main statement on his homepage:

“Our mission statement of the gospel is to become love so that wherever we go, people want what we have!”

First thing I noticed: he has NO statement of faith. That’s ALWAYS a concern. But one can basically hear AND see what he believes by what he teaches on the videos and it is not all good.

As far as becoming love, no one looked at Jesus wanting what He had? Jesus said “By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another” (John 13:35). In other words how we treat each other shows who we follow and that we are one. It is NOT to make them want what we have. What a true Christian has is within, Christ. And to have Christ Jesus one must admit their sinfulness and receive him, believe in what He did for them, his crucifixion and resurrection as the solution.

It appears Todd’s sincerity and zeal is genuine, however this cannot be more important than ones doctrine. Our practice comes from the teaching we hold. It did not take me long watching his videos to see certain common denominators. This man does not seem to have a grounding in certain Scriptures and from what I have seen is being co-opted by false teachers.

You can’t have God as your focus without knowing the TRUTH found in your Bible. It's about what God has said, not what you experience. Since White associates with experiential Latter Rain Charismatics, he is learning from them. So its just like going to school.

Love without being coupled with the truth is not true love exhibited or expressed. No one was saved by love! You can’t win someone to Christ without telling them the truth about their condition and the solution- the gospel. So its half a message, for it is Jesus crucified that saves. That is God's love in action.

Half the things he says are right, and we can say amen too; but the other half…

He says that he doesn't just read the Bible - he lives it! So let’s look at some of the main statements he is teaching others on this.

In one video, “Lifestyle Christianity,” Todd tells the people: “I didn’t go to bible school, didn’t go to Bible college I just went to the Bible.” (This will be refuted as we see what he teaches he has learned from others)

He says he lives his life by the Scripture: “you will hear so much scripture come out of my mouth. My life is laced with so much Scripture because I live it… my days are saturate in my growing in whom God says I am.” I don't read the Bible so I can teach you-never read your Bible so you can teach people!" (and if you’re a pastor or teacher what do you do?) You read the Word-you get in there and you say 'God, this is who you say I am, I need to become what this book says!" (Jesus we can do nothing without him, he didn't just gives us power to go on our own ) "God places this inside of me, so that I can become a living epistle, known and read by men."

I think it’s more important to have a correct interpretation of Scripture, than bad applications which have you arrive at the wrong conclusions. Todd is taking 2 Corinthians 3:2 severing it from its context for the intention of esteeming the people to have power to do God’s work.

2 Cor. 3:1-3 “Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.”

A living epistle" to Todd means that we are to "become Scripture," for people to see Jesus. Paul is not at all telling people to "become the Bible." Paul was saying that the believers in Corinth were all like letters of recommendation because of their spiritual maturity. He is referring to their spiritual growth that God had done by his ministry through the Spirit. (The early church wrote letters of that recommended a member who was traveling that would validate the maturity of them as a teacher 1 Cor.16:3)

Scripture is God’s Holy Word, not us. Heb. 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

After this Todd says, “God did NOT tell you to memorize scripture, He told you to become it!"

First of all, God did tell us to memorize scripture by example, “thy word I have hidden in my heart,” said the King of Israel (David). Jesus, the Son of David cited the correct Scripture against the devil in his temptation in the wilderness, how by memory. Since we are to exhort in sound doctrine and refute those who contradict (Titus 1:9), this too involves knowing scripture, the right scripture in its correct interpretation. In fact when the Jewish Scribes copied the word they memorized it. The average Jew in Israel memorized large portions of the Old Testament.

Maybe Todd looked and did not find the word memorize in Scripture but the words remember and keep are, and the intent is all through it. Here a few examples.

Deut. 29:9 "Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.” You can’t keep what you do not commit to memory.

Num. 15:40 "and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.

Acts 20:35 "… And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

Or the national anthem of Israel called the Sh’ma to listen and do. Deut 6:4-9"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!" You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes."You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Thus they were surrounded by the word to keep it

John 14:23-24 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and he goes on in v.24"He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.”

“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” I Jn. 2:5.

“Keep” - Gr: tereo-to attend to carefully, to take care of a) to guard b) metaphorically, to keep, one in the state in which he is c) to observe d) to reserve: to undergo something.”

To keep it does not mean we carry a Bible in our pocket and take it out when necessary. It means that it is memorized it becomes the way we live.

There are just too many examples, like Jude, “But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 17).

So this claim to not memorize is wrong and to say you become Scripture is also wrong. This was something taught in the older Vineyard conferences under John Wimber and the prophets. “YOU become that Word,’ was part of the new Breed Latter rain teaching. Since one of his teachers he is associated with, Bill Johnson, is repeating the errors of the Vineyard, I presume he heard it from him, because it is not found in the Bible.

1 Chron. 10:13 Saul died for his unfaithfulness – “for he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance.”

Where it all began for Todd White

Within the first year and a half of his Christian walk he was directed by Jason Westerfeild to go to a conference with Bill Johnson and Randy Clark. He says it was called “Healing fusion,” but he first instead said it was “The Voice of Healing,” oops … that is what Gordon Lindsay's magazine was called. The Voice of Healing was about William Branham’s ministry, of whom Bill Johnson of Bethel church recommends. This slip up tells me a lot of what he is learning.

So in this meeting Todd is in he describes himself as feeling very uncomfortable, sweating. Clark then points him out, as he is profusely antagonized with what most would consider palpitations and thinking he is having a heart attack and Clark says “you have been asking the lord for a baptism of fire haven’t you? And “boom” (his words) the Holy Spirit hits me and drops me between the seats and I’m screaming and think I’m gonna die…”its like I’m being electrocuted, it’s the scariest thing” “I’m sitting there shaking and Trembling.” Randy Clark says, “you won’t die - more Lord” (The fire of God will Cost you, its worth it -video).

Todd thinks God answered the cry of his heart. And He wants other to have the same experience he had, that’s dangerous. Overwhelmed with bodily sensations of utter discomfort, feeling like they are physically dying is not of God. It does not matter if it is in Jesus' name.

Now at this time I want to point out that what happened to Todd White is the same thing that happened to Todd Bentley at the 'Healing Explosion' conference with Bill Johnson.

Todd Bentley: “I’m sitting there trying to listen to the speaker and all of a sudden I’m aware of like an electrical presence, an electrical, it was like electricity and it was like 2-3 feet in front of me” right in front of my chair, it was like a whirlwind actually, it was swirling, … So I put my hand out and heres what happened RRRRRR (I didn’t hear that noise that’s for you) “it was like putting my hand into an electrical force field.”

And the same experience happened from the originator of this anointing, Rodney Browne from whom Randy Clark received it from. Browne said The anointing of God as wonderful as it is, is electricity and describes it “I was plugged into heaven's electric light supply and since then my desire has been to go and plug other people in.” “My whole body was on fire from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.” “The fire of God was coursing through my whole being and it didn't quit ....Because of that encounter with the Lord, my life was radically changed from that day on” (Rodney Howard Browne, The Touch of God, pp. 73-74.)

Where in the Bible does the baptism of the Spirit (which they say is the baptism of the fire) do this? And they are still plugging people into this false anointing. This is the common experience from Kundalini “fire” power. The Bible says the anointing is a person, the Holy Spirit, who is God. And he is like Jesus, do you see any of this in Jesus’ ministry?

Once again we have someone who insists he is not going to Bible school or college but going to all these meetings of Latter Rain adherents. Should we not expect that his spiritual openness was answered, he had no armor on. We find the same false spirits targeting them by spiritual experiences in these meetings, thus the same errors are repeated.

Randy Clark had been to the Rodney Howard-Browne’s laughter meetings (1993) in Tulsa, Okla., at Kenneth Hagin, Jr.'s Rhema Bible Church (this is significant, as we see the same characters and concepts continually involved.) John Arnott invited Clark to come to Toronto Airport Church, (Jan. 20 1994) and that is when the Toronto blessing began (www.letusreason.org/Pent30.htm)

Clark describes this fire they experienced being brought to Holy Trinity of Brompton. They were laughing so hard. One guy had his eyes on the floor for about two hours and could not walk (Randy Clark, Evidence Of This Present Move, Toronto Airport Vineyard, October 15, 1994).

Clark “I don't want you to quench the Holy Spirit, I don't want you to stop laughing, just please dial the decibels down a little bit." (Randy Clark, Let The Fire Fall Conference, Anaheim Vineyard, July 1994)

CBN writes “He has been blessed to receive impartation from Randy Clark, Bill Johnson, Roland and Heidi Baker and Benny Hinn. What a strange brew this is.

pt.2 A little Latter Rain or a lot?

The Lord trains us for ministry, he does not launch people into the deep ocean before they are good swimmers. There is an approval time, to see how we can be trusted and deal with people.

What is concerning is how he is applying Scripture to everyone listening.

"The only one that will limit you is you; God will not put the brakes on - God wants you to manifest him! All creation is groaning for you to manifest who you've been created to be! all creation. All creation is waiting for the sons of man to be made manifest! All creation is waiting for you! The police is waiting for you! The shopping malls are waiting for you!"

Beside's all the “you,” that’s not exactly what is said or meant by this verse. It becomes clear that Todd reading the Bible does not know how to interpret or apply certain scriptures, and this becomes especially crucial with those that have a futuristic application. He says he didn’t go anywhere to be schooled, educated ... God certainly did not teach him this error which is known as the manifest sons of God doctrine. He learned this interpretation somewhere.

Rom. 8:19-23 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.”

What is being said is not about an individual knowing who he is in Christ and manifesting this power and love he speaks of but the whole body of Christ being transformed from the body of sin into the new man that is glorified and sinless by the resurrection, as the last portion of this scripture indicates. It is about eternal life in the body.

Todd in one teaching says God told “me to pray for an impartation tonight,… to lay hands on you (there’s no such thing of transferring the anointing, he learned this from the latter rain meetings he is attending). You can’t ask for it if you’re not hungry, it’s no good. He wants to leave what is upon his life to be upon others.” So he offers more of him by an impartation. “God’s going to baptize people in fire. “what would be like to go back and vibrate on your bed all night long because you can’t even talk.” What would it be like to just shake and tremble on your bed with the fear of the lord upon your life…” (The fire of God will Cost you, but its worth it -video).

That not what the fear of the Lord is about, all these are examples of his wrong interpretation of Scripture that he is passing on to the youth along with his wrong application. If your shaking and trembling and cannot talk that is not God doing this. He even says the Holy Spirit will fill you, and possess you in such a beautiful way and you could never be embarrassed again. You sit in class, you tremble and shake and people get around you and say are you okay? They touch you, but aaah, in your classroom. That's where its at."

Are you experiencing this? Better take stock in what has happened to you. Parents be aware what meetings your children are attending, this kind of spiritual experience is not Biblical and is dangerous.

He makes statements of “would you consider helping us to empower a generation who will make this fiery supernatural lifestyle of Christianity a normal and daily experience?

The terms fiery and supernatural have been used by the other Todd (Bentley), so again he had to have heard this because the Bible does not describe Christian experiences in these terms.

As far as an impartation (latter Rain talk) Jesus is the baptizer not man. Only God can give the Holy Spirit, so whatever White and others are passing on is not Him. Because you cannot received Him from man.

White he teaches the fire of God is the power of God (where is that taught in scripture?), he makes statements that sound right until one thinks it through biblically

He says, “The fire of God will cost you,” indeed it will. The same errors are repeated by White. This is a false anointing with false signs as it is with all the others before him. This is like the kundalini fire, because there is no fire baptism for believers. The Holy Spirit is living water. Don't let his enthusiasm and excitement allow his wrong interpretations to be accepted.

He says, "The fire of God on your life keeps you free" (no he who the Son sets free is free indeed, it’s not some extra experience). It’s not rebuking the devil that sets you free, it’s the truth that sets you free.” True, I agree. So why does he say something so different?

Let’s not to confuse the sensual with true spirituality. The Spirit that brings self - control demonstrates true spirituality. If you vibrate - can’t talk - shake and tremble and anything else like glued to the floor, that not self control, that’s not the Spirit.

Scripture says, it is the tares that are associated with the consummation (baptism) of fire. Matthew 3:10-11; Mk.9:43; John 15:6 (Ps. 21:8-9: 2 Thess.1:8; Revelation 14:10) There is ... one baptism” (Eph. 4:4-5) Spirit.

John 4:10-14 Jesus describes himself as living water, not fire. “the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." John 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." Fire does not flow out, unless you believe not as the Scripture has said. God likens the Holy Spirit to water

So as far as I'm concerned all this adds up to Todd White having the same false experience passed onto him by the same people that have been involved with this since the early 90's.

It also confirms he is part of the signs and wonders movement that is headed by false teachers, for their way is not biblical. Does God do healings, miracles, yes. But to say this is to be normal as he describes for this generation is a dangerous precedent. We have watched those who claimed this before him.

Todd White claims “we’ve seen the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the poor have the Gospel preached to them. We’ve seen Hepatitis and AIDS completely crushed!”

So far I have seen a lot of leg lengthening on his videos. Apparently he thinks that most people’s back pain is caused by a shorter leg, that there is some great need when he goes to the street for foot lengthening (a manipulation technique which made W.V. Grant famous).

Up to 70 percent of people have legs that are slightly different in length. So for Todd to go up to people and say this is not a hit or miss. Usually it’s less than a centimeter difference. The larger length differences cause painful joint conditions, more often in the knee and hip. Severe hip and lower back pain, Sciatica, foot and ankle pain can result. Also fatigue where one needs to see a doctor. Besides surgery, doctors offer all kinds of heel lifts that can quickly alleviate the problem until one works on the cause which is often posture unless it’s a condition.

Leg length discrepancies, especially small ones, can only be accurately diagnosed with medical imaging. It is reckless for a healing evangelist who is not a doctor to tell someone their pain is from that one leg that is longer than the other, and tell them they are healed without having an official diagnosis or measurement with an xray or MRI and CT scan. It’s not legs that need lengthening all the time but the hip and back that needs adjusting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unequal_leg_length

I have watched him say God lengthened their legs and they gave their life to Jesus. What I do not see is the gospel spoken of which is the power to save, so what are they giving their life to? In the videos I watched him say they are healed and they leave without the gospel given! Doesn’t he understand regeneration comes from being born again, which comes by accepting the gospel MESSAGE, there is no healing for salvation without the gospel.

Todd White speaks of how He would like to be on a plane where no one has anywhere to go …Where people have to surrender to the king, its called presence evangelism (there is no such thing in Scripture). “Its because God’s presence in you is stronger than anything around you” (The fire of God will cost you video) underline mine. Evangelism is speaking the gospel, explaining it to those who do not understand their sinful condition and what it will bring!

Are we all apostles now? Can all heal?

Todd White apparently teaches that we all have apostolic power to heal anyone we pray for or command healing. The apostles lived out the life of Christ in them and did separate things that no Christian can do, that is why they were called “Apostles.” God does not entrust anyone with great power without their first being grounded in him. Considering this man claims such power and being used of God how does this justify his association with some of the worst false teachers on the planet, is he not aware of this? Does God not care about the truth? Did He not give us his word to prevent this

Paul writes of having the gifts of the Spirit1 Cor. 12:29-30 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Paul an apostle did not think all could.

Todd preaches we will do greater things (miracles and healings) citing Jn.14. Greater works is not greater miracles, it means a greater extension of ministry, to reach more people with the gospel. Not even the apostles who saw the most miracles did greater miracles than Jesus. Who has done something greater than Jesus? No one EVER! And neither will Todd White.

Mk.16 is used by many to justify how we can all go miracles like the apostles. If we look at the book of Acts who was it that took up a serpent? Paul an apostle. Who laid hands on the sick and they recovered? The apostles. This was never a normal occurrence for everyone who was a Christian. When Dorcas died the believers did not raise her from the dead but sent for Peter to raise her (9:36-42). (Please do not be so foolish and say that they were not trained yet in raising the dead.)

We should not overlook that these verses begin Mark 16:15"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

This shows that Mk.16:17 is not a promise that was being exercised to all believers. In fact Paul states “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds” (2 Cor. 12:12). The sign of an apostle were the miracles done, this distinguished the apostles from the other believers. Acts 5:12 “And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people.”

I know this is not accepted by those who listen to Todd or others involved but that is what the word confirms all through the book of Acts. Which is called the Acts of the Apostles, NOT the Acts of the Church.

He starts off one message (after giving a 2 minute musical rendition c "Christianity was never to be known by its doctrine but by it passion." This is patently false and dangerous to say for it contradicts the Bible (for those who care look at 1 Tim 4:16:; Eph.4:14; 2 Tim. 3:10; 2 Tim.4:3; 1Tim. 5:17 elders labor in word and doctrine. Titus 1:;21:1; and we are not teach beyond the word 1 Cor. 4:6.) There is so much much that speaks contrary to this.

John 7:16-17 Jesus spoke of his doctrine being of the Father "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority."

Doctrine is teaching, Todd is teaching. The question is what is he teaching? 1 Tim 4:6 If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed..” What things? What Paul has written, the teachings from the apostles for the church.

1 Tim 1:3 Paul admonished the church to “teach no other doctrine” teaching Christianity is not known by doctrine is exactly what he said not to do. 1 Tim 4:16“Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”

What Todd is trying to do is find his own niche for HIS message. Denying doctrine, which must be every believers foundation makes one open to false teaching. How can they know they are walking with Jesus in truth and doping his will without doctrine?
Rom 16:17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them."

You will know what they are about by their associations.

Who are Todd Whites trainers and mentors?

Todd White is affiliated with Neck Ministries who have ties with the Bethel Church in Redding, Pastor Bill Johnson; He was trained in “Bethel Church” Johnson is the most provocative latter rain teachers in our day. Johnson affirms that Jesus was fully man on earth not fully God and man in one person. Bill Johnson teaches that there was a time when Jesus was just a man, and needed to be anointed with the Holy Spirit. This is an ancient church error (see www.letusreason.org/Biblexp62.htm)

If God uses those who are wrong on the nature of Christ and the incarnation (like Johnson like Rodney Browne). Than one can certainly make the case about God not caring about any doctrine he delivered to us by the Holy Spirit; then nothing matters!

The Bethel influence is found in Whites statements like “The only closed heaven is between our ears, folks!” Implying there is an open heaven that Bill Johnson speaks of. Todd White Speaks of things birthed in you (carrying heaven)” "Jesus didn't pay just the price to get you to Heaven. He paid a price to get Heaven inside of you." The Holy Spirit who is God indwells us, not heaven. Heaven is a place where God lives and rules.

This is nothing to squint at. He is friends with some of the most harmful false teachers, Patricia King, Promotes Bob Jones, Speaks well of Heidi Baker as doing a great work (she too got the same baptism that White got). He teaches at Randy Clark’s Global School of SuperNatural Ministry. Todd is associated with CFAN (Reinhard Bonnke) for years. Bonnke is the one who gave a fake unsubstantiated story of a resurrection years ago that was so obviously false it was mind numbing that people believed it(www.letusreason.org/popteac13.htm)

Being like Jesus also means not compromising - not accepting false teaching or befriend and learn from false teachers, not hanging out with them! It’s not just about having power to love others. When you start with practical Christianity, by building on the right foundation everything falls in place.

Todd White at Rhema Bible church “step into your calling.” He gives honor to the Hagin’s, he is impressed and speaks of their 225 schools (which he never attended). He has been to this word faith church more than once.

Says he wants to “share a whole bunch of stuff with you” How about the word, respect it? Todd states “we can call things into being things that aren’t as though they are (Todd white and the amputee CBN video). Exactly the theme of Kenneth Hagin’s Rhema church word faith teaching. You can’t tell me he did not learn this from some word faith teacher because the Bible says clearly this ability is reserved for God ONLY, the creator. So his statements that he learns from the Father in the secret place is not applicable to this and other statements he makes. White saying he only learns from God is absurd. He is learning from the meetings he is attending. He may think it is God but if he checked his Bible as he claims to be so proficient in, he would know it is not.

Speaks favorably of T.L. Osbourne (who endorsed Branham), He read his book and wonders if I’m even saved? He refers to Smith Wigglesworth saying, you “couldn’t be in the same room with that man praying lest you were gonna die… that’s my longing, that’s my desire.” For someone who says he does not go to Bible school or college he sure drops a lot of names that are more than questionable. Which shows a lack of grounding in Bible doctrine.

These references should have any believer who holds to the Scripture to be very concerned

Healing or the gospel, which comes first?

Todd White in an interview with Pat King speaks of on his way to get sushi tells a girl on the street shes got back pain because of a short leg, commands the leg to grow and Wallah!.. everywhere we go this stuff is waiting to happen” Pat king responds, “ God’s waiting for us to activate him.”

Todd continually speaks of stuff ... God does not do “stuff,” we accumulate “stuff.” Statements like doing “stuff” is so disrespectful, we don’t do “stuff.”

On the street of Las Vegas commands for a skateboarders thumb to be healed, convinced he is healed, then prays for peace for him and asks for the Holy Spirit to come as he lays hands on his chest. Says “he’s already there, asks the lord for more right now.” lays hands on another’s chest asking for the Holy Spirit to come. In the end we see Todd singing while the one whose thumb was healed is playing guitar and says this is the gospel (Todd White: Healing on the Streets of Vegas CBN.com)

This is his presence evangelism, transferring the Holy Spirit to unbelievers. It may be the gospel to him but it is not the gospel found in 1 Cor.15:1-4.

His Las Vegas video put out by CBN (an embarrassment), he says “you can call things into being, things that aren’t as though they are” and then proceeds to heal another mans short leg (well not really if you keep an eye on the background, nothing happened.) “right leg I command you to grow (its already longer than the left in the video before the healing). Maybe he should have shortened it, or lengthened the other leg (street healing with amputee CBN video).

If we find his leg lengthening did not take place when in fact he says it did, does this not challenge his other miracles claims?

One girl with a kidney stone he has woman friend lay her hands on her stomach and he lays his hand on hers and commands the kidney stones to be removed. Then tells her you should be feeling a warmth. At the end the woman laughs little and the camera is turned off. This shows nothing except that Todd commanded a healing. It has you assume it happened.

At the end of the video Todd tries to heal a man with no legs, but after he commands them to grow, no healing take place and no limbs grow back it then switches to Todd telling us “I’ve seen legs grow out … What I have never seen is leg grow out from a stump!” Then tells us God said we will do greater things. So what he is saying is that God can lengthen legs but make a new one is not possible yet, Why? The answer is obvious the power of god is not there - therefore the greater things are not yet seen. (Todd White and the Amputee - CBN.com)

In some of the videos he refers to himself, yet at the same time saying it’s all Jesus? Then shifts to talk all about us, all the stuff we're supposed to be doing, all the great things you can do. The emphasis is on healing, it should instead be on Jesus and the presentation of the gospel, not power of God through us (assuming that it is). So what are they learning? How to heal by him going to the streets and demonstrating leg lengthening? The gospel is the power of God. What’s the sense of demonstrating by a camera this power to heal but you cannot give the power to save? (I do not see Todd in the videos saying that Jesus saves, the emphasis is on healing). Are they learning about the nature of God, of Jesus? Does anyone teach the core doctrines to have one grounded?

His message has a non emphasis on sin which is then is not focused on the gospel, the solution for sin. what about their name written in the book of life. Maybe if he offered the gospel other than physical healing.

UNDERSTAND… We are sent to give a message and if God wills, signs will follow. It’s not signs first. If its signs first to the unbelievers you are disobedient to God.

We are to speak his word, I don’t see Todd giving God's word in these videos, only a promise to be healed and in Jesus name. Speaking of Jesus, saying his name is not the gospel message. All through the book of Acts the apostles and others preached the gospel. From what I have watched on numerous videos, it’s just not there. He walks around with a camera and then tells us it’s not about him? How much footage has been discarded only he knows.

Todd is not showing they are condemned and need salvation, he is offering a physical remedy that is temporary. Thanks for the healing and they walk away. Maybe some of these people will think of Jesus later, maybe not.

The Spirit points us to Jesus and the word. The Holy Spirit lifts up Jesus, not us.

When miracles were done Scripture records those that were beyond doctors and medicine.

Everyone who was healed believed in Jesus before or immediately after. (mostly before)

In his video ad “Schools of power and love” they claim once they know who they are they can pray for the sick and they will recover. When someone “boasts” you can heal everyone, it is “flattering” them. To make miracles a common result because we go into action on the street is absurd. Read your Bibles, none of the apostles spoke or acted like this. One needs to check the Scripture carefully to see if what is being taught about healing is actually what the bible teaches. Because the majority of the time it is not. So it is with Todd White, as it is with Bill Johnson, as it is with Randy Clark, as it is with Rodney Browne.

If they do not believe Jesus is God in the flesh than how is God doing such great miracles by them?

Jesus healed everyone that asked Him, (and it was not leg lengthening.) We find no instance of the sick being brought before Jesus whom he did not heal. These people believed in God, they heard of the Messiah. In Matthew 15:30 when Jesus went up a mountain to get away. The people found him, and the multitudes climbed up the mountain and brought the sick, the lame, blind, maimed and mute to him. He healed them. No one left. Everyone Jesus WILLED to be healed was healed. This is the basis for a healing from a biblical frame of reference. Sometimes Jesus healed by his will, other times he required faith (especially after Israel’s rejection found in Mt. 12)

Mark 6:5-6 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. "

Paul tells us he was not healed. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. in his FLESH he had a PHYSICAL infirmity and Jesus said NO to his request for healing three times. What matters is that the Lord answered NO to Paul. So to answer the question, does God want to heal everybody all the time? Paul was not healed.

He may say some practical things that are correct but there are other statements that are VERY incorrect that nullify what is said that is true. Whatever good one sees him doing, there are accompanying problems that do damage.

A few of Todd’s One liners that devalue scripture:

Speaking of Jesus like those in the New age movement, “Jesus burning in us like fire consumes me… we want to burn for you,… burn with you.”

“It is out of intimacy that we destroy the works of the devil.” The bible says it was Jesus that destroyed the devils works (sin), by the His death and resurrection, so he could transfer us into God’s kingdom. (I Jn. 3:8-10)

Says “Joseph came out of prison with the purity of the gospel!” Really, before it was even known or accomplished? (The fire of God will cost you but it’s worth it! video)

So much more can be said on what he is currently teaching and doing.

Clearly Todd has a zeal to do God's will. True Believers are constantly growing in their Knowledge of the Scriptures so there is hope that White will conform to a more sound view, abandoning the false teachers he is learning and associating with. Yes, there is a price to pay, he may lose many of his outlets for ministry but he will have gained walking in the truth. If he continues with these men influencing him, and learning from them he will end up like so many before him, and that would be a shame.

Todd White- How to Read Your(self into the) Bible

He doesn't just read the Bible-he lives it! Or he lives in it! Or maybe it's both? Oh wait, he is the Bible!

Todd says: "God did not tell you to memorize Scripture! He told you to become it!" Great. As if we didn't feel enough pressure already; now we're supposed to become the Bible. But hey, apparently Todd is doing it...

After all, he's Todd White, and he's:

The Man Who IS the Bible!!

Todd White - Lifestyle Christianity - How To Read The Bible

Let's take a look at what Todd White says in this video...

He says, "My life is laced with so much scripture because I live in it. You will hear so much scripture coming out of my mouth because I live in it. My days are saturated with understanding and growing in who God says I am. I read the Bible not so I can preach a sermon;" (says the man preaching a sermon) "I don't read the Bible so I can teach you-never read your Bible so you can teach people!" (says the man teaching people; and this video is an excerpt of a teaching session that's over two hours long) "You read the Word-you get in there and you say 'God, this is who you say I am, I need to become what this book says!" (so we don't need to learn about how great Jesus is, we need to learn about how great we can become) "God places this inside of me, so that I can become a living epistle, known and read by men."

When Todd White says being "a living epistle" means that we are to "become Scripture" he is taking 2 Corinthians 3:2 and mangling the daylights out of it. Here's what that passage (with the prior verse included for context) actually says:

“Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? You yourselves are our letter (epistle) of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all.”

PIC FROM ARTICLE

— 2 Corinthians 3:1-2

In this passage, Paul is not telling people to "become the Bible;" that's just insane. In those early days of the church, congregations wrote letters of recommendation for their members who were traveling to teach in other towns. These letters would validate the maturity of a teacher so that a church could trust what they had to say. Paul was saying that the believers in Corinth were like a letter of recommendation for his ministry because of their maturity.

You know what's really ironic about this? The practice of mature pastors/teachers having a letter of recommendation is actually very similar to a pastor/teacher getting a diploma from a Bible school or seminary today-the very thing that White ridicules in this video! Not only that, but the Apostle Paul was a brilliant scholar of the Scriptures-he was a very learned man! So quoting Paul in order to tell people that they should "become the Bible" (instead of studying and memorizing it) is incredibly twisted and sinful.

Todd White then yells at the group, "God did not tell you to memorize scripture! He told you to become it!" (applause... he is probably very happy that nobody questions him on this point, because it's the opposite of what the Bible actually teaches) "And if you go to God with that, grace will empower you to walk out what that truth calls you to... When I am not around people, I am in the secret place, I am with my father, I seek my father in secret so that when he rewards me in the open, he doesn't reward me with power, he rewards me with him, who is power." (so basically, this is the secret formula to getting power-without coming right out and saying so) "If I seek my father in secret, he rewards me in the open." (really yelling now for emphasis...) "I go into the bedroom, so I can know him, who created me; so that wherever I walk people know him because I LIVE LIKE HIM!!" (applause… apparently, God's Word is not good enough for anyone to know God, so Todd becomes God's Word. Gee thanks, Todd)

By the way, don't you just love it when guys like this talk all about spending time with God "in the secret place?" It's not really a secret place if you're on stage bragging about it!

Todd White continues with his teaching: "The only one that will limit you is you; God will not put the brakes on (dramatic pause) God wants you to manifest him! All creation is groaning for you to manifest who you've been created to be! All creation is waiting for the sons of man to be made manifest! All creation is waiting for you! The police is waiting for you! The shopping malls are waiting for you!" (Aren't you GREAT?!!)

Here's the truth: The Gospel removes the burdens that this false teacher is trying to heap onto our shoulders. All creation is not "waiting for the sons of man to be made manifest" in the way he explains it; that's a weird heretical teaching that started decades ago, and it keeps popping up again. It is a complete mishandling of Romans 8:19 to say that all creation is waiting for you. Here's a very helpful article and another, about the "Latter Rain" movement and the "Manifested Sons of God" false teaching that Todd White is perpetuating.

This video is supposed to be about How To Read Your Bible, but it's 100% wrong.

The Bible points us to Jesus.
images-4.jpeg

Notice how Todd White NEVER actually mentioned Jesus?

Notice how many times he referred to himself? After talking all about himself, he went on to talk all about us and all the stuff we're supposed to do, and how great we are. That is not a mistake, that's his whole intention. Watch this other (emotionally manipulative) video from Todd White to see how much he emphasizes the greatness of you and all the great things you can do. This guy would make a great recruiter for the Army.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

— Matthew 11:29-30

The truth is, we do not have to "muster up" miracles in order to "win people over." Jesus already did the miracles! If God wants to do some more miracles, that's up to Him; but when Todd White demands that we all have to go out and do miracles, he's saying Jesus wasn't enough, and he's very wrong. God is the one drawing people to Himself, and faith is a gift from God; we don't cause it to occur in others by our "supernatural" activity. The supernatural activity of Jesus Christ coming to earth in human form and dying on the cross for our sins, and then demonstrating His power over death itself by rising from the dead is ENOUGH! Do we really need to add a leg-lengthening routine in order to improve on the finished work of Christ? To make the Gospel "better??"

“He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

— Luke 16:31

“Though you do not now see Him, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

— 1 Peter 1: 8-9

“Jesus said to him (Thomas), Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”

— John 20: 29-31

“And yet some people actually imagine that the revelation in God’s Word is not enough to meet our needs. They think that God from time to time carries on an actual conversation with them, chatting with them, satisfying their doubts, testifying to His love for them, promising them support and blessings. As a result, their emotions soar; they are full of bubbling joy that is mixed with self-confidence and a high opinion of themselves. The foundation for these feelings, however, does not lie within the Bible itself, but instead rests on the sudden creations of their imaginations. These people are clearly deluded. God’s Word is for all of us and each of us; He does not need to give particular messages to particular people.”

Todd White - Ecumenical Fake Healer

ONE NOTE: His hair is hideous.

DAN MOHLER: Todd White's mentor / teacher. He cleverly uses the terminology of the bible, but he's false nevertheless. This type of preacher takes a lot of discernment, due to how good he sounds. He seems to have made up his own gospel using the bible to do it. HALF TRUTHS. Satan knows some of the word.

This man uses quip sayings to sound convincing. It's better to just read your bible. Don't be fooled, he says the name of Jesus a lot and familiar words. He also cleverly acts COOL to appeal to the audience. He seems to be teaching a lot of psychology as he speaks with a lot of advice. He keeps saying the "bible teaches" and proceeds to give more advice his own psychological advice.

http://www.thepathoftruth.com/false-teachers/dan-mohler.htm EXCERPT: Dan’s ministry is about him – his way, his passion, his inspiration and ability to penetrate the hearts of men to move them as he has been moved.

“His passionate quest for intimacy with God, has given Dan a powerful revelation on who we truly are in Christ and what our mission is here on earth as believers. His inspirational messages on redemption penetrate the hearts of believers and motivate them to live righteous, compassionate lives. His passion is to see the love of God reverse the effects of sin and sickness in the world and train others to reproduce the works of Jesus in their every day lives.”

Sounds wonderful, but those are not the works of Jesus. They are the works of Dan.

Dan Mohler Interview and Testimony with Randy Clark

“If you’re really real, and if you really love me and can forgive me for all these things, and have a plan for my life, I’ll live for you.”

Dan describes something happening to him right after he said these words, a quick pop after which he was immediately filled with an assurance that the unidentified spirit he was dealing with was real and the deal he offered had been accepted. Dan was ecstatic – he had the love and forgiveness he was after and his life was now this spirit’s.

Thereafter Dan was a completely changed man, but it wasn’t because the Lord Jesus Christ was living in him. He was changed because he was given over to a counterfeit spirit with the essence of False Love – Satan’s Last Stronghold. This same spirit has been passed on to Todd White.

Consider: Wherever do you find Dan declaring the position of Job when God dealt with him?

“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye has seen You. Therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes” (Job 42:5-6 MKJV).

Or of the publican?

“And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner” (Luke 18:13 KJV).

When the rich young ruler approached the Lord, he came bearing his righteousness. Did the Lord commend or confront him?

Mark 10:17-22 MKJV
(17) And when He had gone out into the way, one came running up and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
(18) And Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good except one, God.
(19) You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, honor your father and your mother.
(20) And he answered and said to Him, Teacher, all these I have observed from my youth.
(21) Then Jesus, beholding him, loved him and said to him, One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, take up the cross and follow Me.
(22) And he was sad at that saying and went away grieved, for he had great possessions.

There are many witnesses in Scripture that contradict Dan Mohler’s testimony, as legitimate as it may appear to many.

Where did Dan go wrong? Understand, reader, that it isn’t a technical matter with God that causes one to go into strong delusion. It’s not by asking the wrong way, but by asking with the wrong motive – a matter of the heart. Dan’s heart was set on being someone special, someone loved and accepted. And that’s precisely what he received from the spirit masquerading as Christ. Instead of being born of God, Dan was born of the will of man and the flesh.

With this new birth, Dan was on a mission to spread the spirit he received to others, impassioned by false love. We know this mission wasn’t of God or His Spirit, because God never honors men’s promises to live for Him, as if they were able to serve Him in their corrupt state or by human willpower. What could a sinner coming to a Holy God possibly know about living for Him? In His Presence, how could a sinner possibly suggest they have something to offer Him? Of what use is unbaked clay as a profitable utensil in God’s Kingdom?

When God draws a person to Himself in Christ, it’s because they need Him and not because He needs them. We don’t give our lives to God at repentance – we come to Him in order for Him to take over our lives – something very different. Yes, there will be faith and a positive testimony of Christ, but man offering himself up for service to God is self-righteousness at work, whereas man submitting to the will of God is His righteousness at work in an earthen vessel.

The Lord gives us His life in order for us to be healed, cleansed, and made new. We receive the baptism of His Spirit and fire, which consumes the man of sin – not just the wanton sinner who is without Christ, but the moral and devout “first Christian,” who is full of good works. Man’s righteousness must be put away for Christ’s righteousness to appear – which happens after repentance and receiving His Spirit. For Him to live and reign in us, we must, as believers in faith who are cleansed by His Word, die:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

Paul describes this process in Romans 7, but none of that happened with Dan. Satan’s ministers, born of the flesh, are fast tracked into service through the false belief that one has the fullness of the inheritance of Christ without being crucified. Dan and his protege, Todd White, don’t teach this verbally – on the contrary, they’ve mastered Biblical language saying otherwise, but you must believe their fruits and not their claims to have what they manifestly don’t possess. You will not enter the Kingdom by following these men. And this you will only know by taking up the cross yourself. There’s no other way.

The Cross – Only the Death Sentence Will Avail

Here’s the correspondence where we address the error of Todd White and his mentor, Dan Mohler, in both general and specific terms, as we encourage a new believer to put her trust in God rather than in man:

The History of Dreadlocks

PIC FROM ARTICLE

EXCERPT: The history of dreadlocks is varied and differs depending on who you ask. This, then, is a summary and compilation of all the different accounts we have been able to locate.

One account claims that dreadlocks originated in India (unlike most who cite Egypt as their birth place) with the dreadlocked diety Shiva and his followers. It is likelythat this is the spirituality origin of dreadlocks in Indian culture. However, the first archeological proof of people wearing dreadlocks came from Egypt where mummies have been recovered with their dreadlocks still in tact.

Regardless of their origin, dreadlocks have been worn by nearly every culture at some point in time or another. Roman accounts stated that the Celts wore their hair ‘like snakes’. The Germanic tribes and Vikings were also known to wear their hair in dreadlocks. Dreadlocks have been worn by the monks of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the Nazarites of Judiasm, Qalandri’s Sufi’s, the Sadhu’s of Hinduism, and the Dervishes of Islam, and many more! There are even strong suggestions that many early Christians wore dreadlocks; most notably Sampson who was said to have seven locks of hair which gave him his inhuman strength.
