Let His Truth Reign
PICTURES of this fire are astounding. The poor horses too, and animals who are affected.

19 firefighters die battling raging Arizona wildfire

EXCERPT: July 1, 2013 – YARNELL, Ariz.— Gusty, hot winds blew an Arizona blaze out of control Sunday in a forest northwest of Phoenix, overtaking and killing 19 members of an elite fire crew in the deadliest wildfire involving firefighters in the U.S. for at least 30 years. The “hotshot” firefighters were forced to deploy their emergency fire shelters — tent-like structures meant to shield firefighters from flames and heat — when they were caught near the central Arizona town of Yarnell, state forestry spokesman Art Morrison told The Associated Press. The flames lit up the night sky in the forest above the town, and smoke from the blaze could be smelled for miles. The fire started after a lightning strike on Friday and spread to 2,000 acres on Sunday amid triple-digit temperatures, low humidity and windy conditions.
MY COMMENT: We pray the Lord will bring comfort to those families, that lost a loved one; who was a fire fighter. We are so sorry to hear of this tragedy.
Quebec forest fire causes widespread blackouts for a 2nd day
July 5, 2013
EXCERPT: CANADA - Half a million Hydro-Québec customers were without power at rush hour for the second straight day, as widespread outages caused by forest fires in northern Quebec affected transmission lines. The utility said Montreal and other parts of southern Quebec were affected. By 7:30 p.m. most customers had their power restored, and Hydro-Québec tweeted that its three major transmission lines shut down by heat and smoke from forest fires in northern Quebec were operational once again. The blackouts occurred nearly exactly 24 hours after a similar power failure caused by the forest fires, despite the utility’s best efforts to protect the network.
EXCERPT: A rapidly spreading wildfire is threatening thousands of homes and has forced evacuations near Idyllwild, Calif., southwest of Palm Springs this week. AccuWeather.com meteorologists expect winds to remain relatively light through the end of the week. However, local effects produced by the terrain and the fire itself can continue to cause the blaze to spread rapidly. Smoke has and will continue to lower the visibility in the area and could pose problems for people with respiratory ailments from around Palm Springs to Indio, Calif., and the nearby stretch of Interstate 10. Temperatures are forecast to peak near 100 degrees through the weekend. According to Western Weather Expert Ken Clark, “Humidity levels are likely to increase substantially over the weekend and could allow spotty pop-up thunderstorms.”

EXCERPT: IDAHO – More than 10,000 homes are threatened by a furious Idaho wildfire, including getaways owned by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Hanks and Bruce Willis, after an all-out “ground and air attack” failed to stop the blaze spreading to more than 126,000 acres, according to latest reports from the U.S. Forest Service. “Take your essentials, belongs and pets and GO NOW,” a news release on inciweb warned those in the path of the lightning-sparked Beaver Creek fire. Despite an army of more than 1,200 firefighters, the blaze continues to spread across parched sagebrush, grasslands and pine forests in the Sun Valley area.
