New Radio Interview with Jan Markell and Caryl Matrisciana
Jan Markell recently interviewed Caryl Matrisciana, talking about Caryl’s new documentary film, Wide is the Gate, Volume 3. Jan is founder and director of Olive Tree ministries and a Lighthouse Trails author; Caryl is director and founder of Caryl Productions and a veteran Christian film maker. She is also a Lighthouse Trails author. This interview is a special interview that Olive Tree produced in that Caryl is currently battling cancer, and though she is in a weakened condition believes this topic is so vital that she was willing to do the interview.

We also have Volume 2 and Volume 1 of Wide is the Gate and the bonus DVD from the series Exposing Christian Palestinianism.

In 2 Corinthians 11:3. the Apostle Paul gives us a sobering plea and warning...

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

But what IS this "simplicity of Christ"?

That Jesus is God Himself, in human form, who is the only possible hope to God, who gave His sinless, earthly life in our place, and rose again from the dead, defeating Satan, giving us victory over the power and bondage of sin, defeating death, giving us eternal life and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The free gift of God toward all humanity for whosever chooses to embrace it.

But in order to receive this gift through Christ, we must get Jesus right, the real Jesus.

Because the Bible warns of "Another Jesus", "Another Gospel' and receiving "Another Spirit" and even Jesus Himself warned that in the end times, MANY would come in His name saying, "I am Christ.

So how do we know who Jesus Christ truly was, is, and what He taught?

One MUST read the Bible...a reliable, time tested Bible version, like the KJV, that has not been corrupted. But we CANNOT read it with our feelings and hearts, but with an open mind. Because when we start to say to ourselves "Well, I don't like this part or like that part", that's when it gets dangerous. Because if Jesus is God, like He claimed to be (and is), then every word He spoke is Truth, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us feel. In fact, it's embracing those hard truths that actually gives us peace and comfort in the end. When we start to take bits and pieces of what we like or don't like and make a sort of "Mr. Potato Head" type "Jesus", we have created a God of our own making, according to our own hearts, which is simple idolatry and a guarantee that we WILL be deceived by "Another Jesus." Even most professing Christians have fallen for these counterfeits, and sadly few escape and their fate is sealed, called "Strong Delusion" sent to us by God Himself, which we are warned of in 2 Thessalonians 2.

Basically, if we stray from the truth, from the straight and narrow of the simplicity of Christ and who He really is, then God Himself will turn us over to our own self-deception. When God Himself sends us over.

Jesus said that the path is narrow and few are those who find it.

Sobering words.

God bless.
